Alice Lowe Bio

Alice Eva Lowe is an English actress, writer, and director best known for her work on the films Sightseers, Prevenge, and Hot Fuzz. She was born in Coventry, West Midlands, England, on April 3, 1977.  She began her career in the early 2000s with appearances in the TV series Comedy Lab, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, and My Life in Film. Alice became a film actor with appearances in Hot Fuzz, Sightseers, and Locke. She is best known for her work in the thriller movie Prevenge which also stars Kate Dickie, Gemma Whelan, and Kayvan Novak. Alice was part of the writing staff with the TV series Beehive and Comedy Lab. She has won numerous awards including a British Independent Film Award for Best Screenplay, a Screen International's Rising Star Award, a Lift-Off Season Award for Best Acting Ensemble, a London Critics Circle Film Award for Breakthrough British Filmmaker, and two National Film Awards for Best Actress and Best Thriller.
