Alisha Boe is a Somali-Norwegian actress born in Oslo, Norway on March 6, 1997. She is best known for her role as Jessica Davis in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Boe moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven with her mother. She became the first Somali actress to hold a leading role in American film since the actress Iman. She landed her debut role in film in 2008 in the movie Amusement and has since been in the films He’s On My Mind, Paranormal Activities 4, 68 Kill, Gates of Darkness, and Poms. In 2013 she made her debut on television in the pilot of the show Trophy Wife. She has also had roles in the shows Modern Family, Extant, Days of Our Lives, Ray Donovan, NCIS, Casual, SCI: Cyber, Teen Wolf, 13 Reasons Why and has voiced a character on the animated show Robot Chicken. In 2018 she was in a Shawn Mendes music video for the song “Lost in Japan”.
