Alison Arngrim is an American actress born January 18, 1962, in New York City, New York, USA. In her early life, Alison Arngrim was a child actor and played a role as Stevie in the movie Throw Out the Anchor before she finally landed the role of Nellie in the television show Little House on the Prairie from 1974 to 1981. In 1981, Alison was nominated for the Young Artist Award in the best young comedian category for playing Nellie. After that role, she realized that she did a good job playing Nellie because of the reaction of people in public, and because of that she published her autobiography in 2010 titled Confessions of a Prarie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Olsen and Learned to Love Being Hated. In 2002, she won the Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award in the Young Artist Award. Some of few notable roles are in the movies Make the Yuletide Gay, The Last Place on Earth, and Le Deal.
