Alistair Petrie Bio

Alistair Petrie is a British actor, born on September 30, 1970, in Yorkshire, England. He is best known for the role of Mr. Groff in Netflix’s comedy Sex Education and Alexander Sandy Langbourne in BBC’s Golden Globe, Emmy & BAFTA-winning drama The Night Manager. Other major credits include roles in BBC One’s 2016 thriller series Undercover alongside Sophie Okonedo and Adrian Lester, Channel 4 Year of the Rabbit, AMC`s The Terror, cult series Utopia, and BBC TV series Sherlock. Alistair also played the role of General Davits Draven in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, directed by Gareth Edwards. He was trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and spent his early career in theatre productions, including Ibsen’s Brand opposite Ralph Fiennes. He is married to British actress Lucy Scott.
