Allison Pierce Bio
Allison Margaret Pierce was born on July 22, 1975 in Birmingham, Alabama. Her sister, Catherine Eleanor Pierce, was born on September 12, 1977 in Birmingham as well. Their father was a guitar player in several bands, so the sisters were introduced to music at an early age. Allison started dancing at an early age of three and both sisters are accomplished ballet dancers. When they attended Auburn University, a friend sent a tape to a record company in Nashville, which resulted in their debut album The Pierces (2000). On August 10, 2005 they released their second album Light Of The Moon.
In May of 2011 their fourth album You and I was released and the Pierces decided to tour throughout the U.S. because they mainly had popularity in the U.K. instead. They went on tour in the summer of 2011, including supporting Coldplay at the iTunes Festival. In August of 2015, the sisters announced they were splitting up to make solo music. In May of 2017, Allison released her single album Year Of The Rabbit.
