Alshon Jeffery is an American football player born in St. Matthews, South Carolina on February 14, 1990. He is currently a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. Jeffery played two years of football with his high school team at Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, South Carolina. He played college football while attending college at the University of South Carolina from 2009 to 2012. In 2012 he was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, 45th overall. On May 2, 2012 he signed a four-year contract with the Bears and made his debut in the NFL in a preseason game against the Denver Broncos. In 2017 he signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles for $14 million. He played his first game with the Eagles on September 10, 2017 against the Washington Redskins. Later that year he signed a four-year extension for $52 million with $27 million guaranteed.
