Alyssa Michele Naeher is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper in the National Women's Soccer League. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States, on April 20, 1988.
Alyssa spent her formative years playing for the Penn State Nittany Lions, and she turned professional in 2010 when she was selected by the Boston Breakers as the eleventh overall pick in the Women's Professional Soccer Draft. She has since represented Turbine Potsdam and Chicago Red Stars, and throughout her time with the Chicago outfit, Alyssa has played alongside Mallory Pugh, Kealia Watt, Tatumn Milazzo, and YĆ«ki Nagasato.
Alyssa represented the United States Women team at the Under 16, Under 17, Under 20, and Under 23 level, and since making her debut with the senior squad in 2014, she has been a mainstay on the team.
Her career highlights include winning the FIFA Women's World Cup, Tournament of Nations, CONCACAF Women's Championship, and SheBelieves Cup.
