Coming from Raleigh, North Carolina, American Aquarium was formed in 2006. The band started releasing their albums in that same year. Their music influences were the likes of Whiskeytown and Drive-by Truckers. B.J. Barham was the band’s songwriter, together with members Zack Brown, Bill Corbin, Ryan Johnson, Kevin McClain, and Whit Wright.
They had a deal with Last Chance Records for the release if their 2009’s “Dances for the Lonely.” Then their record “Small Town Hymns” further established American Aquarium’s music. They had their live concert in Raleigh coming with the release of their fifth album “Flicker. Die” which is most critically-acclaimed.
