Amile Jefferson is an American professional basketball player born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 7, 1993. He currently plays with the team the Orlando Magic in the NBA. Jefferson attended the school Friends Central School, where he played basketball on the school’s team coached by Jason Polykoff. In 2012 he started attending Duke University and played on the college team, playing in 150 games while there. He earned his Masters degree from Duke, graduating in 2017 and quickly was signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the summer league. The Timberwolves converted Jeffersons contract into a standard NBA contract in 2018. While with the Timberwolves he averaged 35 minutes per game with 18 points and 13 rebounds. On July, 2018 he signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic. He played in his debut game on December 31, 2018 against the Charlotte Hornets.
