Amir El-Masry is an English-Egyptian actor best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, on August 2, 1990. Amir began his acting career in 2008 when he appeared in the film Ramadan Mabrouk Abul-Alamein Hamouda. He has since had a successful career in TV, with recurring roles in the TV series The One, El-Brinseesa Beesa, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, and Age Before Beauty. Amir is best known for starring in the blockbuster film Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, and Mark Hamill, but his filmography also includes Lost in London, Held for Ransom, Limbo, Shoot, The State, and The Night Manager. He won a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Film Actor.
