Amy MacDonald was born on Aug 25, 1987, in Glasgow, Scotland. The debut album, This Is the Life, dropped in 2007. The album included the singles Poison Prince and Mr. Rock & Roll. The album entered the Billboard 200 and the title track from the song become a number one hit in several countries.
Her follow-up effort A Curious Thing was released in 2010. The album’s “Don’t Tell Me That It’s Over,” single also entered the UK chart peaking at No. 45. MacDonald released her third album Life in a Beautiful Light in 2012. The release includes the singles “Pride,” “4th of July,” and “Slow It Down.” Her latest album is Under Stars which was released in 2017. In 2019, MacDonald released the single This Time’s Everything.
