Amy Smart is an American actress and former fashion model born in Topanga, California on March 26, 1976. She studied ballet for 10 years as a kid and began her career in entertainment as a fashion model in Italy. While modeling in Italy she decided to change course and begin an acting career and signed up for acting school. In 1996 she landed her first role in a film in the movie Her Costly Affair and continued landing roles in films like High Voltage, How to Make the Cruelest Month, Varsity Blues, Road Trip, Blind Horizon, The Butterfly Effect, Starsky and Hutch, The Best Man, Crank, Mirrors, The Town and many more. She landed her debut role in a television show in 1999 in the show Felicity and has also had roles in the shows Scrubs, Robot Chicken, Smith, Shameless, Men at Work, Justified, Maron, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and MacGyver. In 2004 she won an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss in the film Starsky & Hutch.
