Ana Carolina Sousa, better known as Ana Carolina, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and musician who performs bossa nova, samba, and salsa music. She was born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on September 9, 1974. Ana began her music career in 1998, and the following year, she released her debut, eponymous studio project. She has since had an extensive music career, cementing herself as one of the most influential musical artists in Brazil. Her discography includes the hit singles Quem de nos DOis, E Isso Ai, Encostar na Tua, Mais Que a Mim, and the albums Quartinho, Nove, and Fogueira em Alto Mar. Ana’s music was featured in the album Brazil: 100 Hits alongside fellow musical artists Claudia Leitte, Vanessa Da Mata, Leo Rodriguez, Tamba Trio, and Turma do Pagode.
