Ana Kasparian (of The Young Turks) Bio

Ana Kasparian, born as Anahit Misak Kasparian, is an Armenian - American political commentator, journalist, and media host who was born on July 7, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. She attended California State University Northridge, where she graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and got her Master of Political Science in 2010. She began her career in the media as an assistant producer at CBS Radio station but did not feel happy working for the mainstream media. In 2007 she began working at the online news show “The Young Turks” as a fill-in producer and is currently the main host and producer of the show. In this show, alongside co-host Cenk Uygur, she was able to apply and show her populist left political siding. “The Young Turks” is the biggest online news show and its YouTube channel, where they share clips from the show, currently has over 5.17 million subscribers.
