Ana Layevska is a Ukrainian-born Mexican actress and singer. Ana was born Anna Sergeyevna Layevska in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, the Soviet Union on January 10, 1982. At a young age, she moved to Mexico where she grew up, and joined the institution Centro de Educación Artística to study acting. She began acting in music videos for artists like David, but in the late ‘90s, she rose to fame when she had starring roles in the telenovelas Alguna vez tendremos alas, Amor Gitano, and Preciosa. Anna appeared in the films Road to Fame, Tired of Kissing Frogs, and Welcome to Acapulco. However, she is a household name for work on TV series and telenovelas like Amor Gitano, Los dos caras de Ana, and Primer amor, a mil por hora. Anna won the award for Best Female Revelation at the TVyNovelas Awards.
