Anders Osborne is an American singer and songwriter born in Uddevalla, Sweden on May 4, 1966. Osborne is a solo artist, but plays and tours with the band North Mississippi Osborne often. He got into music in his teen years and in 1989 released his first album Doin’ Fine. In 1995 he released the album that put him on the map Which Way to Here. Two of the songs from the album were featured in several Hollywood movies. He has also released the albums Break The Chain, Break the Chain, Living Room, Bury the Hatchet, Black Eye Galaxy, Peace, Flower Box, Ash Wednesday Blues, Coming Down and others. Osborne has released albums with the labels Alligator Records, Rabadash Records, Okeh Records, Shanachie Records, and Back on Dumaine Records. He tours constantly with his band and with other artists and has made appearances at events like Bonnaroo Music Festival, The High Sierra Festival, the Hangout Festival, Miami Valley Music Fest and many more. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won many Best of the Beat Awards in categories like Best Roots Rock Album, Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, Best Guitarist, Song of the Year among others.
