Andrea Riseborough is a British actress born on November 20, 1981, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England. She is best known for her work in W.E. in 2011, Oblivion in 2013 starring Tom Cruise, and Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) in 2014. She also acted in the movie Never Let Me Go starring Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.
She began acting at an early age and appeared in productions at the Newcastle upon Tyne People’s Theatre. She has also appeared in an amateur production of Dog Days. In 2005, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In 2006, she was awarded the Ian Charleson Award for her performance in Miss Julie and Measure for Measure. In 2009, she was hailed by the Sunday Times magazine as one of Britain’s finest Rising Stars. In 2010, she acted alongside Helen Mirren in the movie Brighton Rock. In 2016, she appeared in the TV show Bloodline, in 2018 in the mini-series Waco, in 2019 in the mini-series ZeroZeroZero, and many more.
