Andy Mineo Bio
Formerly known by his stage name “C-Lite”, Andy Mineo was born on April 17, 1988, in Syracuse, New York. Though he was misbehaved as a child, he quickly fell into place when he attended a Christian camp the summer before 8th grade, where his sister worked as a camp counselor. What he heard and learned about Jesus was enough to change him and incite in him a love that he had never felt before, and he returned home a different person. He set his sights on recording Christian music, and in high school, he would lease out space in his mother’s basement to have other artists record.
After becoming a well-known performer at Syracuse University and in the underground rap scene, he moved to New York City and released his first mixtape Sin is Wack Vol. 1 in 2009. After signing with Reach Records two years later, Mineo released his second mixtape Formerly Known in 2011, followed by his debut album Heroes for Sale in 2013. Mineo then released an EP entitled Never Land in early 2014. He has also been recognized for the work he has done with T.R.U.C.E., a ministry that dedicates itself to spreading the word of the Gospel to the most impoverished, drug ravished areas of the United States.
