Angela Rye is an American attorney, CEO, and political commentator, born in Seattle, Washington on October 26, 1979. She is the CEO if IMPACT Strategies, a political advocacy film in Washington, DC and a political analyst for NPR and a political commentator on CNN. She attended high school at Holy Names Academy and went on to get a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington and a Masters at the Seattle University School of Law. Rye worked in the district office of Congresswoman Maxine Waters. She moved to Washington, DC and co-founded the organization IMPACT. The organization seeks to encourage young professionals in civic engagement, economic empowerment, and political involvement. In 2013 she founded the political advocacy film IMPACT Strategies. She has also served as the Senior Advisor and Counsel to the House Committee on Homeland security and served as the Executive Director and General Council to the Congressional Black Caucus for the 112th Congress.
