Angela Simmons Bio
Angela Simmons is a designer and reality television star and was born on September 18, 1987, in Queens, New York. She is the daughter of Joseph Simmons, better known as DJ Run from Run DMC. She appeared in Run’s House, a reality television series that chronicles the life of Simmons’ family, until its end in 2009. In 2007, she launched a fashion line with her sister Vanessa. The line of footwear, called Pastry shoes, whereas launched under their family’s line of footwear called Run Athletics. Their first launch collection, the Cake Collection, was inspired by their favorite desserts. Simmons has also launched another business with her sister, a makeup brand focused on African American skincare called Simmons Beauty, which they released in 2020. Since 2016, Simmons has starred and executive produced the reality television series Growing Up Hip Hop. The show premiered its sixth season in 2021.
