Anna Lapwood is a multi-talented American musician, known for her skills as an organist, composer, conductor, and director of music. She was born in the United States on July 28, 1995.
In 2021, Anna released her debut solo album Images on Signum Records, which includes her transcription of Britten’s Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes. She also commissioned and edited a new anthology of organ pieces by female composers called Gregoriana, published by Stainer & Bell.
Anna's notable performances include her BBC Proms debut as a soloist in Saint-Saëns 'Organ Symphony' with the Hallé Orchestra and Sir Mark Elder. She also gave a concert with the BBC Singers for International Women's Day, broadcast live on Radio 3, a recital at St David's Hall in Cardiff, and Poulenc's 'Organ Concerto' with the London Chamber Orchestra.
Her discography includes the singles Peace I Leave with You, You Know Me, Seeing the Star, and the album Celestial dawn.
