Anna Maria Horsford is an actress born on 6th March 1948 in New York, United States. She is widely recognized for playing the role of Thelma Frye in the sitcom “Amen” from 1986 to 1991. She began her career as a producer on the television show “Soul!” The show, which aired from 1964 to 1973, and was hosted by Ellis Haizlip. She made her acting debut in 1973 with the television panel show “To Tell the Truth”.
Anna has also made guest appearances in a number of sitcoms, including “Girlfriends”, “Moesha”, “Everybody Hates Chris”, and others. In 2013, she appeared in the comedy film “A Madea Christmas”. She went on to appear in the sitcom “Reed Between the Lines”, which also featured Malcom-Jamal Warner, Nadji A. Jeter, Tony Rock, Charlie Robinson, and Melissa De Sousa. She also appeared in the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful”, for which she received a nomination for the 43rd Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Special Performer in a Drama Series.
