Anoop Menon Bio
Anoop Menon is an actor, director, screenwriter, and lyricist born in Kozhikode, Kerala, India, on August 3, 1976. He is an alumnus of Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. He began his acting career in Malayalam TV series. Anoop has worked alongside Renji Panicker, Leona Lishoy, Anu Mohan, and Manasa Radhakrishnan.
He has acted in more than 70 films. In 2007, he appeared as Dr. S. Jayashankar in Kayyoppu and Philip Mathew in Abraham and Lincoln. His role as Ajayachandran in Thirakkatha earned him the Second Best Actor at the 2009 Kerala State Film Awards. His writing credits include King Fish, Oru Nalpathukaarante Irupathonnukaari, David and Goliath, and Anubhav: An Actor's Tale.
In 2015, Anoop won the Asianet Film Award for Best Character Actor, the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor, and the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor. He was a lyricist on She Taxi, Angry Babies in Love, The Dolphins, and Hotel California. His acting credits include CBI 5: The Brain, Big Brother, Sarvopari Palakkaran, Maalgudi Days, and Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare.
