Ansu Fati is a professional soccer player who currently plays as a forward for Spanish club Barcelona and the Spanish national team. He was born on 31st October 2002 in Guinea-Bissau and moved to Sevilla, Spain, with his family at a very young age. Ansu Fati began his career with the local side Herrera and later joined the Sevilla youth system. In 2012, he joined the renowned Barcelona youth setup, La Masia. He made his debut for the senior team in July 2019, becoming the youngest player to debut for the Spanish side at the age of 16 years.
Initially, Fati was eligible to represent his country of birth, but the Spanish Football Federation was already keen on granting him citizenship so he can play for the Spanish national team. Fati officially became a Spanish citizen and received his first call to the senior national team in August 2020.
