British writer, adventurer, TV personality, and former marine and soldier, Anthony Middleton was born on 22nd September 1980 in Portsmouth, Hampshire. After retiring from the army, he worked as a VIP security guard and a security expert for several West African governments. He shot to fame when he became the Chief Instructor on the show, ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’. He held the role on Channel 4 from 2015 to 2021. In 2017, he co-authored the book ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins: Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces’ with his Special Forces and TV colleagues, Jason Fox, Colin Maclachlan, and Matthew Ollerton. In 2018, he was featured in the television show ‘Extreme Everest with Ant Middleton’ which documented his journey to the top of Mount Everest along with Ed Wardle. He was also the Captain of the reality TV show, ‘Mutiny’ and was also featured on the survival show, ‘Escape’. His autobiography, ‘First Man In: Leading From the Front’ became a Sunday Times bestseller.
