Anthony Gose Bio

Anthony Gose is a baseball player, born on 10th August 1990, in California, United States. He attended Bellflower High School, where he played baseball. He has also attended the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy.  Gose started his professional career with the Philadelphia Phillies after being selected in the second round of the 2008 MLB Draft. After two years in their minor leagues, he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2010. The following year, he broke Darin Mastroianni's single-season stolen base record. He entered 2012 as the 39th-best prospect in baseball.

Gose was promoted to the majors in July 2012 but was optioned back in August. In 2013, Gose played for the Buffalo Bisons in the International League. A year later, he was traded to the Detroit Tigers. After three years in their minor league, he became a free agent in November 2017. He signed with the Texas Rangers but was elected free agent in October 2018. Two years later, he signed with the Cleveland Guardians. Unfortunately, he had to undergo Tommy John surgery in 2022, which ended his season early. The Guardians renewed his contract in December 2022
