Anthony Deane Rapp is an actor and singer born on October 26, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan. His breakout role was as Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson's production of the Broadway musical Rent. He reprised his role in the 2005 film adaptation, directed by Chris Columbus.
Anthony published his memoir, Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent, through Simon & Schuster in 2006. He appeared on Broadway: The Next Generation, The Ready Room, Celebrity Page, The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS, Stonewall Inn Safe Spaces Concert, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
