Antonia Gentry is an actress born on September 25, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Davidson Fine Arts in Augusta, Georgia, for her middle and high school, studying drama. Gentry continued to study drama at Emory University back in Atlanta. Alongside her study, Gentry also joined the comedy troupe Rathskellar Comedy Improv Group. During her time in Emory, she performed in productions like Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest. Gentry’s first breakout role was as one of the titular characters of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia alongside Brianne Howey. She received this role during the same week that she graduated from Emory. For her role as Ginny, Gentry received a nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance in the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Gentry has also appeared in the Michael B. Jordan-produced Raising Dion.
