Anya Chalotra is an actress born on July 21, 1996, in Wolverhampton, England. She began pursuing acting early on in her life and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Chalotra began performing at several theater productions across England, including shows like Much Ado About Nothing and The Village. Her first on-camera role was in 2018 when she played the role of Jennifer Ashman in the show Wanderlust. She followed this role by starring in the miniseries The ABC Murders alongside fellow cast members John Malkovich, Eamon Farren, and Michael Shaeffer. Chalotra became more widely known after she was announced to star in Netflix’s The Witcher in 2019. Chalotra plays the role of Yennefer opposite Henry Cavill.
