Apashe is the stage name of the Belgian born electronic DJ John De Buck. He moved to Montreal, Canada to study electroacoustics at Concordia University. After studying for two years at the college he was hired by Sonart to work as a sound designer. He has been making music since 2005 with digital and analog hardware. The types of music he produces is bass music, dubstep, glitch hop, neuro funk, trap, and hard electro. In 2011 he was signed to the label Kannibalen Records and in 2012 released his debut EP Contamination. In 2013 he released the single “Battle Royal” and followed it up with the EP Black Mythology that contained the popular songs “Black Gold” and “Forsaken.” In 2014 he released the single “No Twerk” and released his first remix EP. He travels around Europe playing festivals and shows and has plans to tour around the world.
