April Michelle Bowlby is an actress born on July 30, 1980, in Vallejo, California. She attended Moorpark College, where she studied ballet, French, and marine biology. She has appeared in several television shows, including a guest spot in shows like CSI, The Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother. Her first big break was playing Kandi in the show Two and a Half Men in 2005. She began as a recurring character but eventually became one of the show’s main cast the following season. In 2018, Bowlby became the first actor to play the comic book character Rita Farr or Elasti-girl in a live-action production. She first played the character in an episode of the television show Titans, before playing her again in 2019 as part of the main cast in the show Doom Patrol. Bowlby also co-hosts a podcast, 75 reads, with director and writer Jo Bozarth.
