Arca Bio
Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, better known as Arca, is a Venezuelan singer, writer, producer, and DJ who performs electronic and experimental hip-hop music. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on 14 October 1989. Arca began her musical career in 2011, and she released her debut studio project Xen in 2014. Her discography includes the hit singles Prada, Rakata, Born Yesterday, KLK, Incendio, and the albums Stretch 2, Mutant, Kick I, and Arca. Her music was featured on the original score of Red Dead Redemption 2 alongside Woody Jackson, Jeff Silverman, Luke O’Malley, and Mario Batkovic. She has received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album, and an AIM Independent Music Award nomination for Independent Album of the Year.
