Art Garfunkel Bio
Born in November 5, 1941, Arthur Ira Garfunkel or simply Art came from Queens, New York. His music revolves in the folk, rock, and pop genre. He became known with the duo act Simon & Garfunkel, among the most successful pop duos in history until 1970. After the split, Art Garfunkel became a solo artist and an actor.
As a solo artist, though, he wasn’t able to be as prestigious as he was when with Simon. But he was able to hit the Top 40 spots in the mid ‘70s. He appeared in two films, “Catch 22” and “Carnal Knowledge.” His first solo record was entitled “Angel Clare” released in 1973. His song “All I Know” peaked in top nine. Then his most successful solo album is “Breakaway” which peaked at number seven.
