Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo is a Chilean professional soccer player who was born on May 22nd, 1987 in San Joaquín, Santiago, Chile. He was born to Erasmo Vidal and Jacqueline Pardon. His siblings include a brother Sandrino Vidal, and two sisters Ambar and Victoria Vidal. Due to his hard-tackling and combative, tenacious style of play, he was called Il Guerriero "The Warrior", Rey Arturo "King Arthur", and La Piranha by the Italian press during his tenure at Juventus. Vidal began his professional career with Colo-Colo, winning three Chilean Primera División titles. He moved to Europe and signed with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, where he spent four seasons. In 2011, he transferred to Juventus, where he quickly established himself as one of the top midfielders in the world. He won the Scudetti in each of his four seasons at Juventus, and he also helped them reach the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final. He then had a short stint at Barcelona when he won the other trophies before returning to Serie A, to play for Inter Milan.
