Ashley Modurotolu Banjo is a dancer, choreographer, and actor born on October 4, 1988, in Leytonstone, London, England. Born to a dancer mother, Banjo has been dancing since he was young. In 2007, Banjo and his brother, Jordan, formed a dance troupe with nine other friends called Swift Moves, later changed to Diversity. Banjo serves as the leader and choreographer of the troupe.
In the same year that they formed, the troupe won the Street Dance Weekend competition. Winning the competition led to many opportunities for the dancing troupe, including performing in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. Banjo was also given the opportunity to be on the judging panel of several competition shows like Got to Dance, Dance Dance Dance, and even joining the judging panel of Britain's Got Talent in 2020.
