Ashley Cole is s football coach and former player born on 20th December 1980 in Stepney, England. He is widely known for his spell with Chelsea and Arsenal, where he played mainly as a left-back. Cole came through the Arsenal youth system and was eventually called to the senior team in 1999. He was briefly sent on loan to Crystal Palace, after which he returned and became a regular first-team player at Arsenal.
He joined Chelsea in 2006. He had long been Jose Mourinho’s preferred candidate for the left-back position. After 8 seasons with Chelsea, he joined Serie A club Roma on a two-year deal. In January 2016, he joined the Major League Soccer team LA Galaxy. Three years later, he signed for Championship club Derby County, where he reunited with former teammate Frank Lampard. Following his retirement from playing football in August 2019, he was appointed coach at Derby County. In July 2021, he joined the coaching staff of England’s U21 side. A year later, he joined Frank Lampard’s coaching staff at Everton.
