Ashton Delilah Shepherd born on August 16, 1986, in Coffeeville, Alabama, United States, is an American country music singer and songwriter most famous for her chart-topping songs Takin’ Off This Pain and Look It Up. She started singing at the tender age of eight and released her self-titled CD at the age of 15. Soon after winning the contest talent in Alabama, she performed the opening act for Lorrie Morgan and got discovered by MCA Nashville Records with which she signed a recording deal in 2007. Her debut single Takin’ Off This Pain climbed to number 20 the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. She released her debut album Sounds So Good in 2008 and has released three more albums ever since including Where Country Grows (2011), This Is America (2013) and Out of My Pocket (2016). After severing ties with her first record label MCA Nashville Records, she went on to start her own company to release music independently.
