Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan is an actor born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, on May 7, 1991. He is an alumnus of Kumaraguru College of Technology and PSG Institute of Management. He made his TV debut in 2015 as Ashwin in Star Vijay's Office. Ashwin has appeared in several short films, including 3 Scenes of His Love Story, Idar, Blink, Cinderella, and Kadhal Ondru Kanden.
Between 2017 and 2018, he portrayed Aravind in Ninaika Therintha Manamae. In 2019, he starred in Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Adithya Varma, and July Kaatril. Ashwin has appeared in several music videos, including Arun Sundar's Cloning Kadhal, Vishal Chandrasekhar's Rhythm of Life, Maran Rajendran's Shades of Kadhal, and Osho Venkat's Baby Nee Sugar.
In 2020, he participated in the second season of the cooking reality show Cooku with Comali, finishing second runner-up. He won the Most Popular Male on Reality Television Award at the 2021 Behindwoods Gold Icons. His acting credits include Oh Manapenne, Thandhu Vitten Ennai, Indha Nilai Maarum, and Raja Rani.
