Aston Ian Merrygold is an English actor, pop singer and composer who was born on February 13, 1988, in Peterborough, England, United Kingdom. He has one sister and five brothers. Aston loved Michael Jackson growing up and his other music influences include Usher, Mario, Chris Brown and Boyz II Men.
When he was fourteen, he appeared on 'Stars In Their Eyes Kids' as Michael Jackson singing Rockin’ Robin. Aston rose to fame as a member of the four-piece boy band JLS. He is also known for being a finalist on the fifth season of The X Factor. In 2017, he partnered with Janette Manrar in the 15th series of Strictly Come Dancing as they finished 10th out of 15 celebrities.
Some of Aston’s albums include JLS, Outta This World, Jukebox and Evolution which all together have produced four top ten singles. Aston is also known for being a judge in the British dance show 'Got to Dance'. As an actor and composer, he is known for Boogie Man (2018), Holy Mess (2015) and A Tale to Tell (2020).
