DJ and producer ATB was born Andre Tanneberger on February 26, 1973 in Freiberg, Germany. He began his music career as a member of the dance music group, Sequential One. They gained some notoriety in Germany and other European countries before disbanding in 1998.
Tanneberger started his solo project, ATB, in 1998. His first single, “9 PM (Till I Come),” was released on the “Movin Melodies” album. His second album, “Two Worlds,” was released in 2000 and reached number 31 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. He followed up “Two Worlds” with “Dedicated” in 2002, which was named as a dedication to those who were victims of the September 11th attacks. It peaked at number eleven on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Between 2003 and 2014, he released six more albums. The album, “Distant Earth,” released in 2011 reached number seven on the Billboard Germany Album chart, and the album, “Contact,” released in 2014, reached number five on the same chart. He has been named a top twenty DJ in the world by “DJ Magazine” for three years. In 2013, he brought his concert series, “ATB in Concert,” to America for the first time.
