Austin Reed Dillon is an American professional racing driver and TV personality best known for his time as a NASCAR racer. He was born in Welcome, North Carolina, United States, on April 27, 1990.
Born into a racing family, Austin began competing in competitions at a young age, and he turned professional in the late 2000s. He made his NASCAR debut in 2008, and he got his first career pole in 2010 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Austin’s breakout season was in 2011 when he won the NASCAR Xfinity Series, outpointing the other top five racers Sam Hornish Jr., Regan Smith, Elliott Sadler, and Justin Allgaier.
Austin has also competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Pinty's Series, ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, and ARCA Menards Series West.
