Ava Max Bio

Ava Max is the stage name of the American musician Amanda Ava Koci. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 16, 1994. As a child, she competed in a number of singing competitions where she grew up in Virginia. In 2017 she was featured on Le Youth’s single “Clap Your Hands.” She released her first single in April of 2018 with Atlantic Records titled “My Way” and followed it up with the singles “Slippin”, and “Sweet but Psycho.” Her third single “Sweet but Psycho” quickly became a hit and topped the chart in seventeen different countries, including Norway, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Finland and others. She plans to release her single “So Am I” in 2019. Max has also been featured in the songs “Clap Your Hands” by Le Youth, “Into Your Arms” by Witt Lowry, and “Make Up” by DJ Vice and Jason Derulo. In 2019 she was nominated for two Swedish Gaffa Awards and a Global Award.
