American songwriter, dancer and singer, Avery Wilson was born on 18th July 1995 in Hamden, Connecticut. His interest in music started at a young age. Noticing his son’s talent, his father started hosting open mic nights at one of the McDonald’s where he was the director of operations. This helped 9-year-old Wilson practice singing before an audience. The first demo prepared by Wilson, ‘Ringtone,’ was sent to the WYBC-FM radio station and became a hit. He was then discovered by Sean Garret who mentored him. In 2011, he entered the Next Teen Superstar contents in New York and emerged a co-winner. He was also seen on the third season of, ‘The Voice.’ He returned to the show in the eighth season with a performance from his debut album with RCA records. This earned him a spot to perform at the 2015 BET Awards. In 2018, his first mainstream single, ‘Dollar Bill,’ was released.
