Harry Bauer Rodrigues, who performs under the name Baauer, is a music producer who is most known for his work in bass and trap music. He was born on April 30, 1989, and began making his own music when he was only 13 years old. After moving around the world a few times due to his father’s line of work, the talented producer established himself in Brooklyn, New York. In 2012, he experienced a breakthrough when he released his immensely popular single “Harlem Shake”, which encouraged a dance movement across the nation encouraging people to record themselves performing the dance that went along with the track. Baauer signed a contract with the label LuckyMe in late 2012. He later released his debut EP titled Dum Dum a few months after signing the contract. “Harlem Shake” was honored at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards for Dance Song of the Year and EDM Song of the Year, and also went double Platinum in the United States.
