Ronnie Ray Bryant, known in the music industry as Baby Bash, was born in Vallejo, California, on October 18, 1975. Though in his youth he aspired to play professional basketball, he later set his sights on a career in music. Beginning in the late 1990s, he began meeting other rappers when he moved to Houston, and later joined the rap groups known as Potna Deuce and Latino Velvet before embarking on a solo career. He released his debut album Savage Dreams in 2001, which he followed with the sophomore effort On tha Cool in 2002. These two albums garnered him enough attention to land him a contact with Universal Records, through whom he released the album Tha Smokin’ Nephew in 2003, which was certified Gold, and spawned the very popular single “Suga Suga”. After gaining much attention from that release, Baby Bash put out the albums Menage a Trois in 2004, Super Saucy in 2005, Cyclone in 2007, and Bashtown in 2011. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Lloyd, E-40, Miguel, Problem, and many others.
