BAEKHYUN Bio
Byun Baek-Hyun, better known as simply Baekhyun, born on May 6, 1992, in Bucheon, South Korea, is a singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a member of the popular boy group EXO which debuted in 2012, and his position is the main vocalist. He is also part of the sub-unit EXO-CBX and leader of supergroup SuperM.
In 2014, he made his musical theatre debut, playing the main role in the South Korean production of Singin’ in the Rain. His first solo track titled Beautiful was released in 2015 as a soundtrack for EXO’s web drama Exo Next Door. In 2016 he made a small screen debut in the drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryo alongside IU, and received a New Star Award for his role at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards.
His solo albums include City Lights, Delight, and Bambi. The album Delight had sold more than 1 million copies, becoming the first album by a solo artist in SK to do so since 2001. In 2021 he released his self-titled debut Japanese EP which has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Baekhyun has collaborated with many artists including Suzy, BOL4, Loco, and Seo Moon Tak.
