Bakar Bio
Bakar, real name Abubakar Baker Shariff-Farr, is a British singer, songwriter, and model, born on February 12, 1994, in London. Bakar’s style cannot be described as a specific genre which is something he is extremely proud of. His music is a mixture of rap, indie, rock, and punk, which he also describes as schizophrenic. Although growing up he was influenced by hip-hop, at the age of 14 he was introduced to indie music which made him realize that his artistry was much more than just one genre of music.
Before releasing his debut album titled Badkid, in 2018, he released Big Dreams and Something I Said online. After releasing his debut album, he got endorsements from artists like Elton John and the British rapper Skepta. Some of his other popular singles include the bluesy R&B track Chill, and a happy-go-lucky soul tune titled Hell n Back. Apart from his music, Bakar has also modeled as part of Virgil Abloh’s debut runway show for Louis Vuitton in 2019.
