Barbara Mori is a Mexican actress, model, writer and producer born in Montevideo, Uruguay on February 2, 1978. She started her career at 14 years old as a fashion model after being discovered by the fashion designer Marcos Toledo. She made her acting debut in 1997 in the television show Al norte del corazon and continued landing roles in the shows and films Azul Tequila, Me muero por ti, Celos dije, Amor Descarado, Pretendiendo, Robots, Kites, 1 a Minute, Cantinflas, Dos Lunas and others. She became well known in 2004 after landing a main role in the telenovela Rubi. Mori has also been in a number of commercials for companies like Saba, Veet, Inka Chips, L’Oréal, Pantene PRO-V and more. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won two Premios TVyNovelas, three Premios Juventud Awards, two Premios Canacine Awards, and a Premios People en Espanol Award.
