Baron Davis Bio

Baron Davis is an American former professional basketball player born in Los Angeles, California on April 13, 1979. He is a two time NBA All-Star and currently works as a studio analyst for The NBA on TNT. He started playing basketball from a young age and played high school basketball at Crossroads School in Santa Monica. While playing basketball in high school he was named Gatorade National Player of the Year and was selected to play in McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Game in Colorado Springs. He went on to play college basketball at UCLA and was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. In 1999 he declared for the 1999 NBA draft and was picked third overall by the Charlotte Hornets. Throughout his career he has played for a number of professional teams, including the New Orleans Hornets, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks, and the Delaware 87ers. His professional career spanned from when he was drafted in 1999 to 2016. Over those 17 years he scored 13,447 points, had 6,025 assists, and 1,530 steals. In 2017 he became a regular panelist for the NBA on TNT’s show Players Only.
