Basshunter Bio
Basshunter is the stage name of Jonas Erik Altberg, a Swedish DJ, electronic music producer and singer. He was born on the 22nd of December, 1984, in Halmstad, Sweden. His passion for music started at a young age, when he began singing in a choir. As a teenager, he played in a punk rock band before starting with his solo projects. He released his debut album “The Bassmachine” in 2004, through Alex Music. In 2006, he released the EP “Welcome to Rainbow” which included the single “Boten Anna” which was an instant hit, getting thousands of views in the first few hours after the release. The song was certified platinum in several countries, and it reached number one on the Swedish and Danish Single Charts. The song later became part of his second studio album “LOL” released in 2006 through Warner Music Sweden. That album got certified triple platinum, as many of his albums have. He has won multiple awards such as the World Music Award.
